PLAY Kamloops Workshops and Training Opportunities
Quality Sport for Communities and Clubs (QSCC)
This workshop is designed to connect and inform local sport clubs and their community partners such as facilities, municipalities and schools with tools, connections, resources and processes that support quality sport and physical activity at all levels. We will explore how to collaboratively provide quality sport in our communities by developing and supporting good people, good places and good programs. Participants will be introduced to the Quality Sport checklist as well as information, resources and the opportunity to share collaborative strategies in the following areas:
✓ Focus on athlete growth and development
✓ Supporting long-term goals
✓ Using competition intentionally for development
✓ A commitment to sport for all
✓ Partnerships that prioritize development needs
Who should attend? Sport leaders, coaches, municipal recreation leaders, PTSOs, funders and everyone committed to working together to deliver the best possible sport and physical activity across the community.

Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS)
Learn how to observe, teach, and improve fundamental movement skills in this NCCP workshop. Skills such as running, sliding, throwing, rolling, and swimming provide a foundation for sport skill development and life-long enjoyment of physical activity.
You will receive a certification and NCCP credits for attendance.

Physical Literacy 101: An Introduction
Join us for this inter-active workshop to gain a better understanding of the physical literacy. You will learn what and how to apply physical literacy concepts in all of the environments: air, land, ice/snow, water and wheels. You will leave with a better understanding of physical literacy, key concepts to improve your programs and knowledge of how you can encourage continual improvement and development of physical literacy across the lifespan. In Partnership with Sport for Life and PLAYKamloops. You will receive a certificate upon completion.

Physical Literacy 501
PL 501 will help participants to understand the importance of physical literacy development for participants with disabilities. This workshop will take participants through what universally accessible programs are and how to plan and create them. It will also help participants to develop their adaptations to fundamental movement skills to allow for different disability types to participate and have a quality first involvement experience.
